His first achievement was for Zeal to be awarded their ISO 9001:2000 certification. 2003 Tony Hagin agreed to a Management Buyout. 2016 Daniel Hagin appointed as Managing Director. 2012 - 2015 A busy period with some repeated and new orders manufacturing products for existing customers in the hazardous areas, mobility, rail, transport and utilities sectors. 2019 Daniel Hagin, current Managing Director saw the potential in the business and arranged to become the majority shareholder. 2021 Zeal Continues to grow despite the Pandemic and invests in further advanced equipment. 1992 Invested in our First Surface Mount Line. A Siemens MS 72. 1994 Repaired Orbitel 902 mobile phones. 1997 Began manufacturing, testing and packaging complete water conditioner units. 2005 Gained a new customer in the Rail Sector manufacturing measurement systems. 2011 Started assembling for a new customer in the Security Sector. Bespoke products for HV fencing. 2009 Zeal officially moves into new premises. 2010 Started assembling for a new customer in the hazardous and intrinsic safety areas. 2018 Started manufacturing for a new customer creating technology for the metals industry. 2020 Participated in the UK Government ventilator challenge making cable assemblies. 1985 Manufacturing of audio crossovers for Wharfdale Diamond II Speakers.
1998 Began manufacturing for a company providing transport solutions to utilities and dairy sectors. 2004 Began manufacturing for a company providing automotive solutions to aid in the mobility sector. 2008 New bespoke premises were approved with a local design and build company. 2009 Assisted a customer to manufacture a wireless transceiver unit for fuel delivery. 2010 Started repairing and testing motherboards for hospital bedside entertainment systems. 2017 New Customers in Rail, Automotive and Vehicle Tracking sectors. 2020 Zeal remains open during the pandemic lock down to support their customers.
2022 Zeal celebrates it’s 40th year in manufacturing. The company has grown in being a great service provider over the years. Thanks to our employees, customers and suppliers for sharing our journey. May we hope it continues for years to come.
2023 Zeal focused on planning tools to aid customer delivery and also worked hard with suppliers to obtain parts on extended lead-times to keep manufacturing customer products.
2023 Zeal decided on a company restructure to sustain and improve the company progress so far. Dean Measey was promoted to Managing Director, Daniel Hagin, takes on the role of CEO and manages the financial needs of the business. The company had a record turnover with an increase of around 18%.
